was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2025-26 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Avonwood Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are insufficient places to accommodate all applicants and, after applying the oversubscription criteria, applicants for the final place(s) cannot be split the remaining place(s) will be allocated using a random allocation process. The process will be electronically administered through the Trust IT system in use at this time and overseen by a person independent of the Trust and the School.
Exceptions apply: children with an EHCP naming the School are admitted first (PAN reduces accordingly); applications received on or before the closing date for September 2027 entry are initially given priority over late applications, except under exceptional circumstances (e.g. illness involving hospitalisation or bereavement).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
