Little Lever School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1EHC Plan naming the school — Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) naming Little Lever School.
2. 2Looked-after and previously looked-after children — Looked After Children and previously looked after children (including those adopted from state care outside England).
3. 3Child Protection Plan — Children with a Child Protection Plan (current or within the last 12 months).
4. 4Children of current staff — Children of current staff employed by Little Lever School.
5. 5Siblings — Siblings of children currently in Years 7–10 at Little Lever School (includes full, step, half, foster, and adopted siblings living at the same address).
6. 6Medical conditions or disabilities — Children with medical conditions or disabilities that make Little Lever School the most suitable option. Places will only be offered under this criterion if the child has a certified medical condition with strong professional supporting evidence confirming that existing exceptional problems with the child's health would be seriously exacerbated if a place was not made at the preferred school. Medical evidence must be provided at the time of application. Parents applying under the criteria must provide a letter from the child's GP/Consultant setting out the reasons why the school is the most suitable school and details of the child's medical condition. Medical evidence must be submitted by 31st October 2026. Evidence received after this date will not be taken into consideration.
7. 7Proximity to the school — Proximity to the school: Measured in a straight line from the home address to the school's front gates using the local authority's geographical information system.

If two applications tie: Distance between the school and a child's home measured in a straight line from the child's home address to the school's front gates Church Road. Where the distance between 2 children's homes and the school is the same, random allocation will be used to decide between them, by using a random generator. This process will be independently verified.

EHC Plan holders naming the school are admitted before oversubscription criteria apply, but are also listed as criterion 1. In the case of twins or multiple births, the school may exceed PAN to accommodate all siblings. Waiting list maintained until end of first term (31st December) each school year of admission.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
