When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to those living closest to the school. The distance will be measured in miles in a straight line which measures from the address point of the home property to the designated main entrance to the school by the local authority's distance measuring software. In the event of distances being the same for two or more applicants, places will be allocated using the local authority's system of random draw. The draw will take place at the local authority's offices and the name(s) will be drawn by a local authority officer who is independent of the admissions process.
Within each category, exceptional social/medical/pastoral need is prioritised first (i), followed by sibling (ii). Parish boundaries are defined in the policy with a detailed description and map.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
