When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
See every school within walking distance, ranked by distance and inspection grade.
If two applications tie: Where a choice has to be made within any of the above categories then the following criteria will be used to determine priority within each category: (a) Children, or one or both parents, with a medical condition or disability, which would cause significant hardship if the child could not attend this school...; (b) Reference will be made to the distance from the child's home to the school gates measured in a straight line (not by shortest walking route) calculated by the Local Authority. Children living nearer to the school will be given priority over those living further away.
School also operates an Inclusion Base with separate, non-ranked admissions considerations for pupils with EHCPs primarily needing ASD/SLCN support (up to 16 commissioned places); not included as part of the main oversubscription criteria list.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
