was the furthest place offered for 2025-26 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If two or more children have an equal claim to a place in any one category, we will give priority to children who live closest to the school, measured in kilometres in a straight line (as the crow flies)... When children have an equal claim to a place because their measurements are the same (for example, from a block of flats), we will use a lottery system (random allocation) to offer places to children.
Local-authority coordinated default oversubscription criteria for Barking and Dagenham's community and voluntary-controlled schools (the council is the admission authority). Some community/voluntary-controlled schools in this authority apply catchment-area, feeder-school or priority-area variants — check the individual school for its exact arrangements. Some schools (Dorothy Barley Junior, Thames View Infant, and others) have their own variant criteria including staff priority categories, feeder school priority, etc., as detailed separately in the document.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
