These are then used to calculate the distance between the two address points using a ‘direct distance mathematical routine’ within the Capita ONE system used by Wokingham Borough Council’s School Admissions Team into which the LLPG address points are imported. This calculates the distance from the values created through this process using Pythagoras’ Theorem by measuring the distance in meters between the Easting and Northing for each end address point then multiply by 0.000621317 to convert to miles.
