was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2024-25 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at St Anne's Catholic Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distance will be measured, using the Local Authority's computerised measuring system, from the nearest school gate to the home address using the shortest road route, unless it is possible to use a footpath which the LA consider to be a safe walking route. In the event of distances being the same for 2 or more applicants where this distance would be last place/s to be allocated, a random lottery will be carried out in a public place. All the names will be entered into a hat and the required number of names will be drawn out.
Within each category, priority is further ordered by: (i) sibling at school at time of enrolment; (ii) children of staff employed 2+ years or recruited for a skill shortage vacancy; (iii) attendance of the child in Foundation One at St Anne's Catholic Primary School. Twins and siblings from multiple births will be admitted where one child is the last ranked within PAN.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
