was the furthest place offered for 2026-27 (Reception). The council's figures don't show whether anyone was refused, so it may not have been a cut-off.
Last distance offered at Southbroom Infants' School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Straight-line distance from the child's home address to the school. In the event of equal distance, random allocation supervised by an independent person.
This is a federation-wide policy covering multiple schools across Oxfordshire, Reading, Swindon, and Wiltshire. PANs vary by individual school (see section 6). The criteria listed represent the common framework; St Mary's & All Saints C of E (Reading) has a different set of criteria (sections 8) including an exceptional medical/social needs priority (Priority 2) and in/out of designated area distinctions. Forest and Sandridge C of E has an additional Priority 2.1 for siblings of children already on roll by September 2019 living in previous catchment area (applicable for admissions September 2020–July 2027). Seend C of E has an additional Priority 4.1 faith criterion. Nyland Campus (SEMH School) admissions determined through SEN Assessment Team.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
