was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Year 7). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Queen Elizabeth School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of a tie-break, random allocation will be used to decide who has highest priority for admission if the distance between two or more children's homes and the school is the same. This process will be independently verified.
An exception will be made for a child whose Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) names the school, provided the school can meet the child's needs and that meeting the need is compatible with the education of others. Distance is measured using a straight line from the door of the School's Main Reception to the centre of the pupil's home address. When there is over-subscription in criteria 1, 2, and 3, the distance criterion at 4 will be applied.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
