Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at All Saints CofE VA Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where the admission number is exceeded in any one criterion, applications will be prioritised on the distance from the child’s home to the address point of the school (priority being given to the children who live closer to the school). Distances are measured on a straight-line basis using the Local Authority’s Geographical Information System. If two or more applications cannot otherwise be separated and there is only one place available, a random allocation process will be used to
You must complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) if you would like your child to be considered under any of the Faith criteria. The SIF is available from the school and must be returned to the school by 15 January 2026 to be considered in the main admissions round. The governors will admit all children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which names the school. Siblings The definition of a brother or sister (sometimes referred to as a sibling) is: • A brother or sister sharing the same parents. • A half-brother or half-sister where two children share one common parent. • A stepbrother or stepsister, where two children are related by a parent’s marriage/partnership. • Adopted children. A brother or sister must be living at the same address when the application is made. Worshipping member At least one of the parents or guardians of the child is regarded by the priest/minister/worship leader as part of the worshipping community at the church/worship centre. This would not necessarily mean that the parent is a “member” in a technical sense (e.g., through baptism, confirmation or electoral roll) but would imply a pattern of attendance at worship (on Sunday or any other times) that is more than ‘occasional’ and has been sustained for more than a short, very recent period of time. Staff The definition of staff will be any permanent member of the school staff, including support and administrative staff, who has been directly employed by the school for a minimum of two years. Parish boundaries For parish boundaries visit the A Church Near You website, put in your postcode, click on where you live and the name of your parish will be shown.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
