was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Reception). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Moreton Morrell CofE Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where applicants are allocated the same criterion, priority is given in order of distance between the child's home and the school applied for (shortest distance = highest priority). Distance will be calculated by using a straight-line measurement from the address point location coordinate of the applicant's home address (as set by Ordnance Survey) to the centre point ('centroid') of the school in question. Where required, individual priority for applicants from the same multiple dwelling sharing a single Postal Address File (PAF) or where the distance from home to school is identical will be determined by a random number generator allocation.
Children with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) that names the school will be admitted first. Where the final place in a year group is offered to one of twins, triplets or another multiple-birth child, the admissions authority will normally offer a place to the other multiple-birth child(ren) even if this means going above the school's Published Admission Number. Infant class size limit is 30 pupils with a single school teacher; excepted pupils may be admitted under very limited circumstances as set out in the School Admissions Code.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
