When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Within all criteria, places will be offered in accordance with distance between the child's home address and the academy (shortest distance = highest priority), calculated by straight line measurement via GIS from address point to centroid of academy. Where distance is identical, priority is set by random allocation (lottery), carried out independently by Warwickshire Admissions Service.
Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan that names Henry Hinde Infant School will be offered a place first, before oversubscription criteria are applied, reducing the number of places available. Admission above PAN would breach infant class size limit of 30 pupils per teacher; excepted pupils listed include those with EHCP, looked after children, procedural error cases, appeal-upheld children, service personnel children, twins/multiples where one is the 30th child, and SEND unit children. Multiple births: if a multiple-birth child receives the 60th place, all children from that multiple birth residing at the household will be admitted over the PAN. CATCHMENT: Each school in Warwickshire has an area identified as its priority area. A small number of schools share priority areas; these are known as shared priority areas. Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Warwickshire County Council school admissions directory. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
