Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated in miles to 3 decimal places using a Geographic Information System (GIS). In the event of this measurement being the same for two or more applicants and the last place to be allocated would be to one of these applicants, a random allocation will be determined by a local authority officer independent of the admissions team.
Within each category, children with exceptional social, medical or pastoral need evidenced by a professional are prioritised first, then siblings. The admission authority will, where logistically possible, admit twins and all siblings from multiple births where one of the children is the last child ranked within the school's PAN.
