When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated on the basis of distance between home and school as measured by straight line distance with those children closest to the school having priority. Distances are measured using the Council's computerised mapping system. Random allocation will be used as a tie-break to decide who has the highest priority for admission if the distance between two children's homes and the school is the same.
