Distance depends on the band here
Nonsuch High School for Girls admits by banding: applicants are placed into bands and each band is filled separately, so there is no single last-offer distance. Each band has its own, and which one applies depends on your child's assessment — so one number could not answer this for every child.
How the bands work: Two-stage Entrance Test: the Selective Eligibility Test (SET, multiple-choice Maths and English) then the Nonsuch and Wallington Second Stage Entrance Examination (NWSSEE, Maths and English). Candidates must pass both parts of the NWSSEE. NWSSEE marks are added to half the aggregate SET mark, each part carrying equal weight, to create a total Entrance Test score used to create ranked lists.
Your local authority’s admissions booklet publishes the cut-off for each band. The full ranked criteria are on the Admissions tab.
How places were offered at Nonsuch High School for Girls, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of a tie for the final place under criteria 5.2.2, 5.2.3 or 5.2.4, places are allocated by proximity to Nonsuch, nearest gaining highest priority, measured in a straight line from the home address to the front door of the School using the GIS program (for a flat, to a point within the footprint of the block). If two or more applicants have the same score and live exactly equidistant, the final place is determined by random allocation drawn by a person independent of the School in the presence of at least two witnesses.
Girls' Learning Trust Admissions Committee is the admission authority. Girls' school. Approved by the GLT Admissions Committee November 2025, applicable to the 2027 Admission Year.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
