When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where two or more children share a priority for a place when using distance as a tie breaker, e.g., where two children live equidistant from the SWAN school that was applied for, the school will draw lots at the initial time of ranking to determine which child should be given priority.
This is a multi-school trust policy covering: Barnsbury Primary School and Nursery (PAN 60), Kingfield Primary School (PAN 30), Beaufort Primary School (PAN 60), The Hermitage Infant School (PAN 60), The Horsell Village School Infant (PAN 90), Knaphill Lower School Infant (PAN 60), Goldsworth Primary School (PAN 90), St Johns Primary School (PAN 30), The Hermitage Junior School (PAN 60, Year 3), The Knaphill School Junior (PAN 60, Year 3). Criteria listed are the general criteria for Barnsbury, Beaufort, Kingfield, Goldsworth, St John's. The Horsell Village School has an additional criterion 5 (previous siblings still at same address). The Hermitage and Knaphill infant/junior schools have modified sibling criteria (3b/3c). The Hermitage Junior and Knaphill Junior schools also have an additional criterion 5 for children currently attending the feeder infant school. Oversubscription within any priority is resolved by straight-line distance.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
