Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
Last distance offered at Ixworth High School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If a tie-break is necessary to determine which child is admitted, places will be allocated by random allocation undertaken by the Local Authority. Random allocation will not be applied to multiple birth siblings (twins and triplets etc.) from the same family tied for the final place. We will admit them all and, where necessary, exceed our PAN.
School operates a Special Educational Needs Unit for up to 18 pupils with Interaction and Communication needs, all with EHCPs, in addition to the PAN. Children with EHCPs are admitted under separate statutory procedures managed by the child's home local authority.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
