Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
Last distance offered at Elveden Church of England Primary Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Sibling tie breaker: Priority will be given, where necessary, to applications where there is the smallest age gap in calendar days between the child’s date of birth and the date of birth of any sibling already attending the school, or who has been offered a place at the time of application. In the unlikely event that two applicants competing for a single place at a school have the same number of days difference in age from their closest aged sibling, the place will be offered to one applicant on the basis of lots drawn by someone independent of the school. Distance tie breaker: The applicant(s) living nearest to School will be offered the place(s), measured as the crow flies. Ultimate tie break: in the unlikely event of two or more applicants living the same distance and competing for a single place, a random allocation process will be supervised by someone independent of the school.
Multiple births provision: if the final place at the School is offered to a twin/triplet etc. and the remaining sibling(s) would ordinarily be refused a place, the Governors will offer places to the remaining sibling(s). Children with an EHC plan naming the school must by law be offered a place (noted but not numbered as a criterion).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
