When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If priorities have to be decided within any of these categories, children will be placed in order of priority using distance from their home to the main entrance of the school as measured by a straight line.
Policy covers four academy schools in The New Guild Trust. EHCP/Statement pupils are considered separately before all others and must be accepted by the named school (section 3.1). Admissions are co-ordinated with Stoke-on-Trent City Council. The Council may place a child above the distance criterion position if reasons concerning health or social wellbeing are considered sufficiently strong (section 2.6).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
