When there are more applications than places for 2025-26 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: The child living closest to the school will be given priority for admission, measured as a straight line between the respective home address and school using the Local Authority's GIS mapping system. Random allocation undertaken by the local authority will be used as a tie-break if the distance between a child's home and the school is equidistant in any two or more cases. Random allocation will not be applied to multiple birth siblings (twins and triplets etc.) from the same family tied for the final place — they will all be admitted, exceeding PAN if necessary.
Waiting list for Reception operates until 31st December of that academic year; for all other year groups until end of academic year. Policy covers 2025-26 admissions with closing date of 15th January 2025 and offer date of 16th April 2025.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
