When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Children Looked After and Children Previously Looked After — Children Looked After and Children Previously Looked After – children who are currently in the care of a Local Authority or have previously been and are now formally adopted or subject to a child arrangement order or special guardianship order. Previously looked after children also includes children who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
2. 2Catchment-area siblings — Children living in the catchment area, with a sibling at the school at the time of admission, and who live at the same address.
3. 3Children living in the catchment area — (a) Children living in the rural catchment area. (b) Children living in the catchment area.
4. 4Children eligible for pupil premium funding — Children eligible for pupil premium funding.
5. 5Out-of-catchment siblings — Children living outside the catchment area, with a sibling at the school at the time of admission, and who live at the same address.
6. 6Children registered in an infant school within the junior school catchment area — Children registered in an infant school (within the junior school catchment area).
7. 7Children of staff — (a) Children of staff employed by the school for at least two years prior to the application closing date. (b) Children of staff employed by the school recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
8. 8Infant admissions only: out-of-catchment sibling at the linked junior school — For Infant school admissions only: children living outside the catchment area, with an older sibling at the linked junior school at the time of admission, and who live at the same address.
9. 9Children not satisfying a higher criterion — Children not satisfying a higher criterion.

If two applications tie: If a tie-break is necessary to decide which child is admitted, the child living closest to the school is given priority. Distance is measured in a straight line by a Geographical Information System from the geocoded point of the school site to the geocoded point of the pupil's home; in a multi-dwelling building such as a block of flats the same distance applies to all occupants. Where two or more homes are equidistant, random allocation by drawing lots, supervised by someone independent of the school, decides priority.
