When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 9), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If a band has more applicants than places, allocation is determined randomly within that band.
All children whose Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) names the Academy will be admitted before the oversubscription criteria are applied. Fair banding uses CAT test scores to allocate places by band; if a band is oversubscribed random allocation applies within that band, and unfilled places are redistributed across bands. Multiple births: if the final available place is offered to a child from a multiple-birth group, all siblings in the group will be offered places even if this exceeds PAN.
