Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Clunbury CofE Primary School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If unsuccessful on allocation day, a child will automatically be added to the waiting list of their preferred school... allocated by an independent party not connected with the admissions process.
Document is truncated; criteria for children outside the designated catchment area are referenced but not fully legible in this slice. Note on relatives establishing 'in catchment area' address for sibling priority: 'other relatives who assume residence in a home in order to establish an ‘in catchment area’ address will not be given priority under the sibling criterion.' CATCHMENT: Children living inside the designated catchment area will have priority of admission. If there are not enough places for all the children in the catchment area, then the following criteria for admission will apply in order: Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Shropshire Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
