Baschurch CofE Primary School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

2. 2Medical or special circumstances — Children with medical or special circumstances. This will only be considered if parents can provide written medical evidence that Baschurch CE Primary School is essential to the medical well-being of their child.
3. 3In catchment, CofE worship — Children whose families live inside the designated catchment area and whose parents can demonstrate their commitment to regular and faithful worship³ in the Church of England by means of a letter from their vicar.

5. 5In catchment with sibling at school — Children living in the designated catchment area and who have a sibling⁴ at the school on the date they are due to start.
6. 6In catchment area — Children living in the designated catchment area

Statement of SEN/EHCP naming the school allocated places first, before oversubscription criteria apply. Buying/renting a home to establish an in-catchment address will not be given priority under the sibling criterion. Cohort year 2027 as labelled by council; document does not explicitly state entry year in the extracted text. CATCHMENT: Children whose families live inside the designated catchment area... / Children living in the designated catchment area Transcribed from the school's own determined admission arrangements as published by Shropshire Council. Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted first; that is a statutory duty, not an oversubscription criterion.

Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
