When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to those living closest to the school measured by the shortest walking distance from the child's home, measured from the property's address point to the nearest school gate. In the event of distances being the same for 2 or more applicants where this distance would be last place/s to be allocated, a random lottery will be carried out in a public place. All the names will be entered into a hat and the required number of names will be drawn out.
Children with a Statement of Special Educational Needs or Education Health Care Plan that names a school will be offered a place without using the admission criteria and will count as part of the school's published admission number. Sibling is defined as pupils with elder brothers or sisters, including half brothers and sisters, adopted brothers or sisters who are living at the same address and are part of the same family unit. A Supplementary Form must also be completed if applicants wish their application considered against faith/denomination criteria.
