When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out and supervised by a person independent of the school. All the names will be entered into a draw and the required number of names will be drawn out.
Within each criterion, priority is further given first to applicants with a sibling on roll in Years 7-12, then by distance (walking distance measured by the Local Authority's computerised system). PAN for 2027 increased from 210 to 222 by decision of the Full Governing Board on 8 July 2026.
