was the furthest place offered on offer day for 2026-27 (Year 7). That is how far the last place reached in ONE year — not a boundary, and not a guarantee. It moves with the number of applicants, so treat it as a guide rather than a line on a map.
Last distance offered at Fitzharrys School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In all categories, priority is given first to children eligible for Service Pupil Premium, then to children who live closest to the school by straight-line distance calculated by Oxfordshire County Council. If this produces an identical result for two or more applicants at different addresses who are not children of a multiple birth, the Local Authority uses random allocation.
Children who have an EHC Plan naming the school in Section I must always be admitted; the document explicitly states 'this is not an oversubscription criterion'. An identical 8-item oversubscription list, in the same order, also separately governs in-year transfers to Years 7-11 during the academic year (not just the normal Year 7 entry round). Rush Common Primary School and St Michael's CE Primary School (List 1, Abingdon Learning Trust) are distinct from the 14 'traditional partner primary schools' (List 2); both lists are combined here as feeder_schools.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
