When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are not enough places for all the children in one of these priority groups, we will follow the NYC tie-break criteria. That is: we will give priority first to those with a sibling at the school at the time of admission and then to those living nearest the school. All distance measurements are based on the nearest route recognised by NYC's electronic mapping system from a child's permanent home address to school. If the distance tie-break is not sufficient to distinguish between applicants in a particular priority group, a random allocation will be used.
Places to any child with an EHCP naming the school are offered before oversubscription criteria apply (not numbered as part of the priority groups). New Park Primary Academy has two catchment areas.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
