When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Sibling link; then distance to school (nearest route recognised by North Yorkshire Council's electronic mapping system from child's normal home address to school); then random allocation supervised by North Yorkshire Council. If random allocation results in a pupil from a multiple birth being successful, places shall be offered to the multiple birth siblings.
EHCP children naming the Academy are allocated a place outside the oversubscription criteria and count against the PAN. Multiple birth siblings of a successful random allocation pupil will be offered places even if this exceeds the PAN.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
