School Atlas lists 64 state primary schools, 11 state secondary schools, 4 special schools, 1 alternative provision school and 1 post-16 school or college in North Somerset. It also lists 4 independent schools and 89 nurseries and other early-years settings.
Of the state primary, secondary and all-through schools, 30 have a religious character: 24 Church of England, 3 Church of England/Methodist and 3 Roman Catholic.
Of the 75 state primary, secondary and all-through schools in North Somerset, 27 hold an Ofsted overall-effectiveness grade from their last graded inspection: 3 Outstanding, 23 Good and 1 Requires improvement.
