Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Manor School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If the admission number is exceeded within any criterion, priority will be given to those children who live closest to the school. Distances are measured from the address point of a child’s home address to the address point of Manor School on a straight-line basis, using a geographical information system. If two applications cannot otherwise be separated (e.g. if two distances are equal), random allocation will be used to decide who the place should be offered to.
Pupils who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which names Manor School as appropriate provision will be allocated a place in the Normal Admissions Round.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
