How places were offered at Corby Technical School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If the Admission Number is exceeded within criterion (b), (c), or (d) places within that criterion will be allocated at random in the priority order listed above. The random allocation will be generated electronically using www.randomizer.org/form.htm and will be verified by an independent observer to guarantee fairness. If the Admission Number is exceeded within criterion (e,) priority will be given to children who live closest to the Academy, as measured from the centre of their home address to the address point of the school. In the case where the distances from home address to school address point are the same (for example, multiple applications for the same shared dwelling occur i.e., flats), a randomizer will be used to decide the priority in which pupils are selected. The random allocation process will be subject to independent verification.
The Brooke Weston Trust will consider all applications for places. When more than 150 applications are received and after the applicants with an EHC Plan where Corby Technical School is named as the appropriate provision have been admitted, priority will be given in accordance with the School’s oversubscription criteria.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
