When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where oversubscription results in the PAN being reached within one of the priorities, sub-prioritisation within priority will take place using distance between the child's home address and the school's main entrance, measured in a straight line with those living closest to the school receiving higher priority. In the event of joint oversubscription, having exhausted distance, random allocation will be used as the ultimate tiebreaker.
Local-authority coordinated default oversubscription criteria for Milton Keynes City Council's community and voluntary-controlled schools (the council is the admission authority). Some community/voluntary-controlled schools in this authority apply catchment-area, feeder-school or priority-area variants — check the individual school for its exact arrangements. Catchment areas are defined per school at Annex B; PAN listed at Annex A but not extracted per instructions. EHCP admission is handled outside oversubscription criteria as a legal requirement (children with EHCPs naming the school must be admitted regardless of PAN).
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
