Two Mile Ash School

When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Looked after and previously looked after children — Children who are looked after (LAC) and all previously looked after children (PLAC) including those children who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted (IAPLAC).
2. 2Sibling and living within catchment — Children who have a sibling who is expected to be on roll at the school at the time of admission, and the child's place of residence is within catchment of the school. (*A sibling is defined as a birth sibling and includes step siblings, foster siblings, adopted siblings and other children living permanently at the same address.)
3. 3Feeder schools in the catchment area — Pupils attending a feeder school which is in the catchment area served by the school - Ashbrook and Holmwood Schools.
4. 4Living within catchment, no sibling on roll — Children whose place of residence is within catchment area of the school and do not have a sibling on roll at the school
5. 5Sibling on roll, living outside catchment — There is already a sibling on roll at the school at the time of admission and the place of residence is outside of the catchment area
6. 6Children of staff — Children of staff who have been employed at the school for two or more years at the time of which the application for admission to the school is made, and / or children of staff who are recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage. It is at the absolute discretion of the CEO of Inspiring Futures through Learning to determine when there is a demonstrable skill shortage
7. 7Other children outside the catchment — Other children living outside the listed catchment area

If two applications tie: In circumstances where the school admissions number has been exceeded in any of the above categories and there is a need to discriminate within the category, preference will be given to those living closest to the school, measured in a straight line to the school main reception using the Local Authority's computerised distance measuring system, with those living nearer to the school receiving the higher priority.

Junior school; PAN printed as 'The school has a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 170 for entry into year 3.' Children with an Education, Health and Care plan naming the school are admitted first (not numbered). Feeder schools are printed only as 'Ashbrook and Holmwood Schools'.
