How places were offered at St Paul's Catholic School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In any situation where the application of the above criteria results in more children with an equal right to admission to the school than the number of available places, the tiebreak will be made by a lottery. The names of all those with an equal right to admission will be allocated a number within a randomly generated number computerised programme. The order in which they are allocated will give the order of priority for the allocation of the places available.
Within each category, provisions applied in order: (i) exceptional social/medical/pastoral need places application at top of category; (ii) sibling attendance increases priority within category; (iii) multiple births rule for last remaining place; (iv) children on roll at a Catholic Partner Primary School when application is made.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
