When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Children in public care/looked after children and previously looked after children - (see note 1)
2. 2Children who attend a paired infant school - (see note 2)
3. 3Sibling (a brother or sister attending the named schools at the time of application and who will still be attending in September 2027) – (see note 3)
4. 4Denominational preference (for Voluntary Controlled church schools only) – a supplementary information form is also required (see note 4)
5. 5Medical, health and special access reasons – (see note 5)
6. 6Children eligible for the service premium – (see note 6)
7. 7Children of teaching staff – (see note 7)
8. 8Nearness of children’s home – (see note 8)

Medway publishes the ranking with no year on its web pages; this is the determined co-ordinated scheme, which states the year on its own face and again inside the sibling rule ("will still be attending in September 2027").
