Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2026-27 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
Last distance offered at Haveley Hey Community School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2023-24 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Within each category applicants will be prioritised according to the distance between the child's permanent address and the school. Distance will be measured in a straight line from the centre point of the child's permanent home address to the centre point of the school as defined by Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG), and using the Local Authority's computerised measuring system, with those living closer to the school receiving higher priority.
PAN of 60 applies to each school individually. The document covers two schools: The Willows Primary School and Haveley Hey Community School. Separate oversubscription criteria are also provided for In Year Admissions (5 categories including a 'new to Manchester' category). The EHCP/statement provision is explicitly stated only in the In Year Admissions section.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
