When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 3), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: The admissions criteria will be applied separately and sequentially until all places are filled. If the Council is unable to agree a place for all applicants meeting a specific criterion, the distance criterion (priority 7) will be used as a tie-breaker. In the event of (a) two or more children living at the same address point (e.g. children resident in a block of flats) or (b) two addresses measuring the same distance from the school, the ultimate tie-breaker will be random selection, witnessed by a Council officer, independent of the Admissions Team.
Children with an EHC Plan naming the school are admitted first by law, before these numbered criteria apply. Linked infant and junior schools normally share the same name, with exceptions not fully specified in the extracted text.
