When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If any of the oversubscription criteria have too many applicants then the tie-break will be by straight line distance to the school. If distance is not sufficient to distinguish between applicants for the last place then a lottery will be conducted. A map of the designated area for transport is available from the school and is published on the school website and The Consortium of Lincolnshire Grammar Schools website http://grammarschools.lincs.sch.uk There are selection tests for admission into a grammar school. Details about the testing arrangements can be obtained from the school. The date for determining whether a pupil counts as living within the designated area for free transport, in order to take this into account for 1st March offers, is the deadline date for late applications and changes as published by Lincolnshire School Admissions Team in the academic year preceding entry. This is usually around mid-December. This is a grammar school and applicants must meet the required standard in the admissions exam to be allocated a place.
