Prendergast Ladywell School

When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.

1. 1Children who meet the definition of looked after children or previously looked after children — As defined in the School Admissions Code (2021).
2. 2Children with a social or medical need that is exceptional — The school's Supplementary Information Form plus written evidence from an appropriately qualified professional dated within six months of application must reach the school by 11.59pm on 31 October 2025; claims are determined by the Federation.
3. 3Siblings — A child whose sibling is on roll in Years 7-10 of the school on the closing date for applications and is expected to be on roll (in Years 7-11) at the intended date of admission. Siblings in Year 11 and the sixth form do not qualify.
4. 4The children of staff — Where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time of application, and/or is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skills shortage. Federation central team staff count as staff of this school.
5. 5Those who are permanently living nearest to the school — Straight-line distance calculated digitally to a nodal point in the school premises (Primary Pedestrian Gate, Ewhurst Road) from a nodal point in the applicant's permanent home address.

If two applications tie: Nearest permanent home address by straight-line distance; where more than one applicant lives in a multi-occupancy building, priority to the applicant whose door number is the lowest (numerically or alphabetically).
