Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2022-23 (Year 7), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Where the computerised system throws up an equality of distance for more than one child (who do not have the same home address) the final tie breaker will be by drawing lots. Measurement of distance is a straight line from the centre point of the property to the school's main designated front gate, using a computerised mapping system (Geocoding); where there is equal distance, lots will be drawn supervised by an independent officer.
PAN of 180 for mainstream Year 7 entry, plus 3 places per year group in The Oaks SEND resource unit (which follows the separate Leicestershire SEND Resource Units admissions policy). Children with an EHCP naming the school are admitted under Section 324 of the Education Act 1996, outside these numbered criteria, even if the school is full.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
