Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2016-17 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
Last distance offered at Bishop Ellis Catholic Voluntary Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
Read 2026-09-12 from the trust's own website (St-Thomas-Aquinas-CMAT-Primary-Admissions-Policy-2027-28-DETERMINED.pdf), marked determined. The trust is the admission authority for every academy in it and publishes one primary policy with a schedule of schools, admission numbers and the parishes each serves. CORRECTION 2026-09-13: this row was written on 12 September with the right admission number, notes and source but an empty rule list — every rule came out blank. The rules below were re-read from the same published document. The rules were re-read from the trust policy the row names (St-Thomas-Aquinas-CMAT-Primary-Admissions-Policy-2027-28-DETERMINED.pdf), anchored on its own "Oversubscription criteria" heading.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
