When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated between the Ordnance Survey address points for the school and the home measured in a straight line will be used as the final determining factor, nearer addresses having priority over more distant ones... Where the cut-off point is for addresses within the same building... random draw will determine which address(es) receive the offer(s). In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out and supervised by a person independent of the school.
Within each numbered category, two further sub-provisions apply in order: (i) exceptional social, medical or pastoral need evidenced at time of application places the child at the top of their category; (ii) siblings attending the school at time of enrolment are placed next, after (i). The document states the PAN of 35 applies 'to the Reception Year in the school year which begins in September, 2026' though the policy is titled Determined Admissions Policy 2027-2028 and timetable dates (Jan 2027 deadline, April 2027 offers) indicate September 2027 entry — this appears to be a printed inconsistency in the source document.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
Same phase, ranked by distance and how closely they match.
