When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated using a straight-line (radial) measurement between the address points of a child's home address and the school using the local authority's computerised measuring system. In the event of distances being the same for two or more children where this would determine the last place to be allocated, random allocation will be carried out and supervised by a person independent of the school.
Within each category listed, (i) exceptional social, medical or pastoral need places the application at the top of the category; (ii) attendance of a brother or sister at the school increases priority within each category, placed at the top after (i). Twins and siblings from multiple births will be admitted where logistically possible if one of the children is the last child ranked within the school's PAN.
