When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated between the Ordnance Survey address points for the school and the home measured in a straight line will be used as the final determining factor, nearer addresses having priority over more distant ones.
Within each category, applications may be prioritised further by: (i) exceptional social, medical or pastoral need evidence, then (ii) attendance of a brother or sister at the school at the time of enrolment. Looked after and previously looked after children are placed as criterion 1 in this policy's own numbering, above the faith-based criteria.
