When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Priority will be given to children living closest to the school determined by the shortest distance. Distances are calculated between the Ordnance Survey address points for the school and the home measured in a straight line will be used as the final determining factor, nearer addresses having priority over more distant ones.
Prior to applying the numbered categories, two provisions are applied within each category in order: (i) exceptional social, medical or pastoral need moves an application to the top of its category; (ii) attendance of a brother or sister at the school increases priority within the category, placed after (i). Twins and siblings from multiple births will, where logistically possible, be admitted together if one is the last ranked child within PAN. EHCP-named children are admitted first by law but this is not a numbered criterion in this document.
