Distance did not decide places here
Every applicant who applied on time was offered a place for 2022-23 (Reception), so there was no cut-off distance. This changes from year to year; check the current year's figures before relying on it.
How places were offered at Diamond Wood Community Academy, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: If there are more applications in a particular category than the number of places available, the remaining places will be offered to the children whose permanent address is nearest to the school. Measurements are calculated using six-figure National Grid Co-ordinates from the National Land and Property Gazetteer.
The school will admit a child with an Education, Health and Care plan where the school is named on the plan. Children in priority 1 may be admitted above the PAN. Attending the school nursery does not provide an automatic transfer to a place in the school. The linked junior school is Ravensthorpe CE(VC) Junior School.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
