was the furthest place offered for 2023-24 (Year 7) — but among children who had already met the entrance standard. Entry here depends on the assessment first; distance only separates candidates who qualify. Living inside that distance is not enough on its own, and living beyond it is not necessarily a bar.
Last distance offered at The Tiffin Girls' School, year by year →
When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Year 7), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of a tied score to fill the 180th place: (1) current or previously Looked After Child; (2) girl whose school is currently in receipt of pupil premium funding for her; (3) girl who lives nearest to the School within 5.1.3.1 and then 5.1.3.2. If more than one girl is on the 180th score and all live the same distance from the School, the place will be allocated by random selection and this process will be independently verified.
Girls must register for Stage One Test via online SIF by 12.00 noon on 1 September 2026 (SIF Deadline). Only girls invited to Stage Two after Stage One are eligible for a place. A 10% leeway on standardised marks applies to Looked After/Previously Looked After Children and Pupil Premium girls living in the Designated Area. Up to 60 places reserved for Inner Area/Pupil Premium/Inner Area girls within top 350. All remaining places allocated in rank order of combined mark, Designated Area first then outside. Designated Area defined by specific postal districts; Inner Area by named electoral wards.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
