When there are more applications than places for 2026-27 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: In the event of further over-subscription within any one of the priorities (1 to 13) above, the following criteria will be used in the order listed. a) Sibling in the school at the time of admission; sibling includes step and adopted brothers and sisters. b) In the event of oversubscription in priorities 2 to 8, up to 20% of the number of places agreed for admission into Reception will be 'ring-fenced' for those applicants living within the boundary of the parish of St Catherine of Siena, Chessington and Hook (so that they are not disadvantaged by the fact that they live a greater distance from the school). c) Pastoral and medical needs which make the school particularly suitable for the child in question; strong relevant evidence must be provided by an appropriate professional authority such as a qualified medical practitioner, education welfare officer, social worker or priest, submitted by the closing date for applications. d) Distance from home to school - places awarded to children in order of those who live nearest to Our Lady Immaculate School, as measured by a straight line to the nearest school gate, using the School Admissions computerised geographical information system. Where the last remaining place is to be allocated and two or more children are deemed to live at the same distance from the school, the place will be decided by the drawing of lots.
The brochure states "This is a summary of the oversubscription criteria. It is your responsibility to read the full policy on the school's website for further information about each criteria and your responsibilities as the applicant before making your application." Kingston composite brochure, "Admission arrangements for 2026" (September 2026 entry), "Academies, foundation, free and voluntary aided schools" section.
Published by the admission authority. Meeting a criterion never guarantees a place — it sets the order places are offered in. Full detail, other entry points and previous years are on the Admissions tab.
