When there are more applications than places for 2027-28 (Reception), places are offered in this order of priority. Meeting a higher criterion beats meeting a lower one.
If two applications tie: Criteria 4, 5 and 6 will be used as a tie-breaker for other criteria. If the school is oversubscribed from within its catchment area after the allocation of statements and children under criteria 1 and 2, then the brothers/sisters, geographical criteria and children of members of staff will be used in that order as tie-breakers.
Applications for pupils having an EHCP are dealt with first per the Code of Practice on SEN, prior to the numbered criteria being applied. Highest priority within category 1 is further prioritised: looked after children, then adopted, then residence order, then special guardianship order.
